Hi I'm Trina

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of three children all under five. I love being a Mom. It is the best thing to watch my children grow up in the Gospel! My family is my Joy. Some things I enjoy doing is running races and recently I have started cycling. I am training for a half marathon in January and my husband is going to run the full marathon. I like that we have this common passion that we can share together! I also LOVE sign language. Though I am not fluent in it, I do know enough to teach my children words and phrases. I one day want to go to school to become a sign language interpreter.

Why I am a Mormon

The simplest reason I am a Mormon is because I know it is right. I have a testimony that I am a daughter of a loving Father in Heaven. He knows me and wants me to be happy. I have found that by living as best as I can the principals of his Gospel, I am the happiest. I am a Mormon because I know where I want to go when this life is over. I know that because Jesus atoned for me personally that I can be forgiven and return home to be with Him and my earthly family. I want to be with my Father in Heaven, Jesus Christ, and my husband and children forever. This life isn't enough! Not even close. I know the only way I can have this is by living the way Jesus taught. Listening to the Holy Ghost, praying always, reading my scriptures, these are the basic things that keep my happy and closest to my God.

How I live my faith

I have the wonderful opportunity to work with the youth of my Church. On Sunday's I teach lessons to the teenagers about our Gospel and it's principals. I also go to activities during the week where we do things to build our relationships with each other and God. One of my favorite activities we have done was a "spa night" where the young women in our church invited their mothers to come. We set up three rooms where the girls pampered their moms with pedicures, facials, and massages. It was good to see the girls serving their Mothers and watching them laugh and talk with each other! I even saw some of the Mom's take a turn in giving their daughters pedicures. I have also participate with the Visiting teaching program of our Church. This gives me the opportunity to once a month go visit with the other Women of our Church. I have 3 ladies I get to to talk with and get to know better each month. I have a companion that I go with and we always share a spiritual message that helps each of us live the Gospel better. I look forward to this each month and also to have my own Visiting teachers come to my home and visit with me. My children are involved in church activities where they get to be around children their own age with the same values as their's. They have games and activities that they look forward to each year like the easter egg hunt at the park, trunk- er-treat during Halloween, a program they perform once a year where they sing all the children's songs they have learned that year and much, much more!
