Hi I'm Stacy Burke

I'm a coach. I save lives. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recent college graduate working with my degree. I work at a hospital as a Cardiovascular Technician. I monitor hearts, pre and post heart surgery by reading the electricity put out by the heart helping people survive. I'm a high school track and field coach. I am a percussionist/drummer. I am a sister. I'm a daughter. I'm a leader. I'm a wife and someday a Mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Latter-Day Saint family. I learned the principles taught by the Church but never really took them to heart. I went to college. Left my primary beliefs behind. Lived the life I wanted. I knew something was missing living the way I wanted. I principles I learned about the temple growing up were always in the back of my mind. I knew it was the House of the Lord. A place I could go and clear my head and focus my thoughts. I wanted to be sealed in the temple. At this time in my life I promised a boyfriend I was dating we could get married outside of the temple. This was one of the worst feeling promises I ever made. I knew if I wanted to be sealed in the temple I needed to fix my life. And I did. I found my Savior, Jesus Christ, who helped me repent of my poor choices and sins. Within the year I was visiting the temple again, strengthening my relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and dating a young man who loved me for my past, present and future decisions. I was later sealed to this young man for time and eternity. I am grateful for the Temple, the power of the Atonement, and families being sealed together forever.

How I live my faith

I teach the youth basic principles about the Church such as Jesus Christ, keeping the commandments, obedience, prayer, etc. I teach them to make their own decisions, not to be afraid to search for answers to their own answers and everyone makes mistakes but there is a way back. I help plan activities for the youth to strength their testimonies, friendships and talents. In the community I coach high school aged athletes. I volunteer my time and talents to help teach the athletes about themselves, discipline and responsibility. I help them try to reach their potential. I tell them to dream big and help them try to succeed. I let them know they can do whatever they want to.
