Hi I'm Tina

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of four. I have been married for 23 years to a supportive and loving husband. My favorite things to do with my family are boating, playing with our sweet dogs and just spending time being together. We have enjoyed taking our family on vacations to the beautiful national parks across the US, completing home improvement projects together and watching countless baseball and softball games they have played in. I am currently enrolled in college and working on my Masters in Public Affairs degree.

Why I am a Mormon

I was 17 years old when I knew I wanted to be a member of the church. I was baptized after feeling the certainty of the teachings I easily understood and having faith in the ones I didn't understand as well. Having little structured religion while growing up, I felt the Spirit in such a strong way while dating my current husband. His inner strength and belief in his purpose in life so impressed me and it made me admire the qualities in him I had grown to love. I knew then and still know today, the teachings of this great church, Christ's church, help me know of my divine worth and all that Heavenly Father needs and wants me to do to be happy in my life. The plan isn't always easy to follow. It wasn't for me. After many, many years of being inactive, I knew I was denying myself, and my family, the amazing comforts of a gospel centered life. I hope for the inner peace and joy that I have in my life for all that desire it. A sweet contentment I have from knowing that I am a child of God, individually loved and known my Him, cared for and counted among His sheep.

How I live my faith

I try to accept any callings that my loving Bishop asks of me! Although there have been several callings I was certain I could not complete successfully, or with the degree of talent I had grown to admire and look up to from other members, I quickly realized each calling has helped me with something unique and valuable in my life that I needed at the time I was serving. I am presently serving as a primary counselor in our ward. I love the sweet and amazing spirits the 2-11 yr olds bring to our lives! They have such inner strength and a great love for the Savior, it makes me want to do more to be like them. Kind, loving and full of mercy, the qualities that truly make them Christ like! Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints helps me to serve in my home, my church and my community. I am able to have greater compassion and to more freely give of my time, talents and resources. It makes my life more complete and has given me much more gratitude for the many blessings I have, and have had in my own life. I love that our church assigns each of us sisters and brothers in our ward families to care for and look out for. It is wonderful to know there are those assigned to care and look out for me and my family as well. The scriptures teach us what we need to do be more like our Savior and I know if we care for one another and love them as we love ourselves, we will be happier and receive the many promised blessings from our loving Heavenly Father. The greatest one being eternal life.
