Hi I'm Eddie

I grew up in Maryland. I work for one of the largest banks in the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a married father of three children. I enjoy couponing to save my family money on our groceries. I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids. I try to be supportive of their interests in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was 26 years old. I was single and very socially awkward at the time.I was not really looking for a church-but I do recall praying every night to God that I would someday get married and have a family. He answered my prayers. He sent 2 missionaries to me.It was payday and I was walking to the mall to deposit my paycheck at my bank that was there. One of the missionaries that contacted me that day later told me that they prayed that morning and received guidance to watch for someone in a red shirt(the color of my work shirt). The missionaries were walking outside the mall speaking to whomever they could speak to and they asked me if I had heard of their church. I told them yes. They gave me a card that had the Articles of Faith on it and asked if they could visit me later at my home. I told them yes and gave them my information. I read over the card and was intrigued by some of the doctrine. I was particularly interested in the 2nd one which reads "We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression."I was not attending church at the time and only attended sporadically through my life, but this doctrine was different than what I had been taught before and seemed right to me. It took the missionaries a couple weeks or so to catch me at home. When they began teaching me-I cannot say that I was eager to make a change in my life. However, I agreed with what they were teaching me.I think that I became particularly interested when the taught me the doctrine of baptisms for the dead. It truly made sense to me that everyone should have the opportunity to be baptized and that some simply did not have the opportunity to do so in this life.I received revelation from the Holy Spirit that I should be baptized and joined the church.I met my wife at a Church activity and we were married about 3 1/2 years after I joined the Church. We now have 3 children together. My prayer was answered!

How I live my faith

I best live my faith when I am serving others. The richest blessings are in store for you when you are serving your fellow man. I know that this is true.
