Hi I'm Derrick Peterson

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm also one of those guys that likes to embarass people! Football is my favorite sport, my favorite team is BYU! My wife is wonderful I love to spend time with her.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 18 years old, my life was not going exactly the way I wanted it to. I felt lost and alone in life. One day I had the promting that I should go to church. From that day to today my life has been changed. I feel closer to the Savior and have learned so much about who He wants me to become. With his teachings I feel I am on my way. Have you ever wondered why there are so many churches? But, why am I a Mormon? As I have lived the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, He has testified to my soul that this is the church He has restored in the last days to help us become like Him. As i recognize the promptings of the Holy Ghost i continue to be testified of the truthfulness of the gospel.. I

How I live my faith

I have learned to live my life day by day, doing my best. There is a great story of a dream that a prophet had, in the Book of Mormon about a group of people that were trying to get to a beautiful tree that had fruit, which was more delicious than any other fruit. Along the path to the tree there was a rod of iron. In the dream the fruit was the love of God and the rod of iron was the word of God. The word of God is very important in my life and helps me to live my life in a way that I hope God is pleased. Life is not easy though. I also listen to the words of modern day prophets that help me stay on the path today.
