Hi I'm Becky

I'm a kitchen designer. I'm a wife, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 5th of 7 children and the youngest girl in my family. I am happily married to my husband of 10 years. I enjoy hiking, reading, music and learning new things. I learned to play the flute in the 4th grade, and I have been playing it ever since! I'm not a professional; I just play it for fun. It is fun to play it in church occasionally as a soloist or with the choir. I also sing in the church choir. It is wonderful to be able to join with others in making beautiful music and singing praises to the Lord. In college, I studied Exercise and Wellness, and I love to get regular physical activity. It is important to me to take good care of my body so that I can have the energy and strength to do what I need to do in this life. I am currently working full time as a kitchen designer (cabinet designer). I am blessed to be able to work from home! It is a fun and challenging career.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints makes me happy! I was born into a family of devout Mormons, but I choose to continue in the faith today because I believe it is the happiest way to live! I also believe all of the teachings of the Church are true. I have so many opportunities to serve others and to learn and grow myself. Serving others makes me happy! I also feel that obedience to God's commandments is the way to happiness. Some people might think of the commandments as restricting, but they actually keep us free. We are always free to choose. My mother recently died of cancer. This was a very difficult thing for me, and I still miss her. My understanding about the eternal nature of families really helped me get through this time. I know that I will see my mother again and that we will be able to spend the eternities together as a family. I know that my mother is okay. Her spirit is still alive, and I believe that she is saved in the kingdom of heaven thanks to the sacrifice of our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for this!

How I live my faith

I work with the young women, ages 12-18 in my ward/ church. I teach the 12-13 year old girls every few weeks (rotating with other teachers). We have activities every Wednesday night with the youth. I love working with the youth! I try to keep God's commandments and live the kind of life He would like me to live. I am certainly not perfect, but I try to follow the example of my Savior and I know that He still loves me, even when I mess up. He is always waiting with open arms to welcome us back.
