Hi I'm Chris Ludlow

I am a missionary, a son, a lover of learning and sports, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in California and moved to Mesa, Arizona when I was young. I have grown up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my entire life. Ever since I was young I loved to challenge my body and mind. I have played soccer for as long as I remember and continue to develop my skills in this area. When I started high school, in addition to joining the soccer team, I joined the cross country and tennis teams and enjoyed competing in those. In order to learn as much as I possibly could, I left the school I was supposed to attend and the friends I had and went to a school that offered a higher level of education. There I started the International Baccalaureate Program and continued it through high school. I graduated with both a high school diploma and an International Baccalaureate Diploma as valedictorian. I attended Arizona State University where I began working to earn my Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering. The ability to develop my talents is one that I cherish. I temporarily paused my education to serve a mission. I am currently a full-time missionary serving in the Mexico, Torreon Mission. I am a member of a loving family. We are a normal family in some aspects, we have our differences and arguments. The normalcy ends when I add that we are a peculiar people. We are all members of the Church and take joy in knowing that we will be together forever as a part of God's Plan of Salvation.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up as a Mormon. My entire family is Mormon and so are all of my friends and the people around me. I have been surrounded by what seems to be a safety net so I will not fall away. While this may be true, I have found that this may also provide a sense of ease to the way I have approached life. I have fallen into this mindset before and when this happens my life loses its color and the happiness is absent. I am a Mormon because this is what causes me to love life. I know that when I am consistently striving to become closer to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I am filled with joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in my everyday life. I am currently serving a two-year mission in Mexico. I rigorously attempt to understand the words of ancient and modern prophets through my daily study of the scriptures. I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ (Romans 1:16) and I constantly seek to share my knowledge of the truthfulness of this gospel through my words and example, especially as a missionary. I was very active in my ward and love to fulfill my responsibilities. I was provided with the opportunity to work with the children who will soon reach the age of eight years old. This is an exciting and eagerly anticipated time for every child's life as it is the age at which they can be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was able to teach them more about the Church of Jesus Christ and I thoroughly enjoyed sharing time with them: their spirits are so sweet and pure. As a missionary I am constantly striving to fulfill my purpose in inviting and helping all to come unto Christ. It is a wonderful work I am taking part in and I love it so much.
