Hi I'm Jon

I'm a PC gamer, a World War II history nerd, I love shooting guns, I speak Spanish, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have three older sisters, and no brothers. I love gaming on my computer, I have been playing computer games as long as I can remember. I enjoy building computers and then overclocking them as much as I can, and keeping up with the latest technology. I collect old bolt action rifles, and I love shooting them and reloading the cartridges for them. I love World War II history, I love reading about it, watching movies about it, and also Playing games around it. I enjoy going to the movies, Hanging out with friends, bowling, paint balling, and I enjoy dirt biking. I served a two year mission in Argentina (from 2008 to 2010) when I was 19. It was a great experience and I learned Spanish, and I got a better understanding of a completely different culture than my own. We did many service projects. I was able to help people quit smoking and drinking, and help them turn their lives around and come unto Christ. It was probably the hardest two years of my life, but it made me who I am today, and I would never trade that time of my life for anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. My parents taught me how as a family, we can be together forever, not only in this life, but after this life as well. While growing up I learned more about the church, and when I was a kid I remember missing my friends at church and asking them to remember to come to church on Sunday, and how happy I was when they did. But as I got older I had many of my closest friends in the church fell away from it because they got lost in other things. This made me very sad for them, because they aren't the same people that they used to be. This made me become stronger in the church because, even though many of my closest friends around me stopped believing in Christ, I truly learned why I believed in him. While I was down in Argentina, I grew to understand that God loves everyone equally, and it doesn't matter who you are, what you do, and where you are in your life, or where you are from, he loves each and everyone of us unconditionally, and we can do nothing to stop that. I love learning new things every day about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I love seeing how people change when they live by it.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday with a group of young single adults. I try my best to live my life according to the commandments of God. I know I am not perfect, but I live my life striving to be better each day. I love to share the knowledge that I have of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others.
