Hi I'm James Smallwood

I was born and raised in Georgia. I retired from the U. S. Navy and I now live in Arizona with my wife Virginia.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired U. S. Navy officer. I have lots of interest and all of them involve my family. I was widowed several years ago and am now happily married again. My wife and I both serve in the temple where we met and where we were married (sealed) for all eternity. My wife and I have large families and our goal is to have one extra large combined family. The first step was our marriage in the temple where our families are sealed to us throughout all eternity as promised by our Heavenly Father. That truth brings us great joy and peace.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because the lifestyle expected of me and all the church's members is what was taught by Jesus Christ and the example that he was and still is to all mankind. That example is based on love for all God's children, for the earth and all that he placed on the earth for the benefit of mankind. We strive everyday to be more Christlike in all that we do that we may become more like him and when our mortal life's work is done we can return to live with our Heavenly Father and our own families in perfect and never ending happiness.

How I live my faith

I have have served in almost all calling in a ward and my wife and I are currently serving together in the Primary in our Ward as teachers for Sunbeams (4 year olds). My current calling is very rewarding and many blessing come to me as a result. Actually, I am the one being taught...not the 4 year olds. Isn't that the way God works-out things?
