Hi I'm David

I was born and raised in Arizona. I enroll students into High School. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really love to play the piano, I've never had a lesson on it but I think that I do pretty well playing it, I play for church meetings and used to play in Jazz band in high school; I was also a percussionist in high school. I'm attending college full-time but not exactly sure what I want to do yet. Hopefully I can figure that out pretty soon. I love taking time to be outdoors camping or hiking (Even though I'm probably the slowest hiker ever!). I've hiked about 100 miles for 2 weeks while I was in scouts and loved it!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because even though I was raised in the church, I was given opportunities to find out for myself if the gospel was true or not. I can't say that I really had a testimony of it until I took the challenge that a Prophet issued to the church to read the Book of Mormon. I was about 18 and getting close to where I needed to decide on serving a mission. I decided that I needed to know for myself that it was true before I could go and help others understand that this was the Lord's gospel. So I started for the first time reading the Book of Mormon. When I finished the Book of Mormon, I prayed about it. At first I didn't really receive an answer and left it for a while. Then I got to thinking about it more about what I believed, the lives of the members of my ward, and the many miracles that have blessed my life. I prayed again and it was then the I knew that the spirit was telling me that it was true. That's why I'm a Mormon, because when I searched and prayed about it, Heavenly Father let me know that this was the full gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have many opportunities to serve the people in the church. I am the ward organist and choir pianist in the ward I'm in. I really enjoy the opportunity to provide music for the ward. I also provide activities for my ward every Monday night. Sometimes its a struggle to come up with good activities that people will want to come to, that's why I am so thankful for people who help me! I also get to help ward members personally as a home teacher and get the opportunity to teach them. I'm called to provide music, activities, and a helping hand to my fellow ward members.
