Hi I'm Laurie

I'm a wife and a stay-at-home, homeschooling mother.

About Me

I've been married almost ten years, and I have three sweet little girls. I have the privilege of staying at home with my children and homeschooling them. While this wasn't always the direction we were headed, I love the path God directed us toward! Besides homeschooling, I also love playing the piano, blogging, reading, quilting, designing vinyl, and finding great ideas on Pinterest! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I can't imagine life without the knowledge I have as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It's not just something to believe in; it's a way of life. I make choices every single day based on my beliefs. I'm grateful to know about Christ and His Atonement. Understanding that I can be forgiven for my sins brings great peace. Also, I'm so grateful for the constant guidance we receive through our modern prophets. The world is a tough place to live in! I couldn't handle all the craziness without the direction we receive through the Church magazines and the General Conference of the Church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in a number of ways. Every day, I try to live with integrity - match my actions to my beliefs. I try to teach this trait to my children, as well. I also love studying the words of the prophets - ancient and modern - so that I can become more like Christ in my everyday actions.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

The current prophet and President of the Chursh is Thomas S. Monson. He is an example to the members of the Church of someone who truly lives his religion. Show more Show less
