Hi I'm Keith

I'm a paid firefighter in the Seattle area and a grandfather, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was baptised when I was 19. A graduate of the University of Washington I spent 10 years with the forest service and then switched to becoming a city firefighter for the last 27 years. I have two daughters a son and foster son. I have two grandchildren but lost our first grandson after 19 days. I love animals, swimming, and a sense of humor. I find the older I get the less I have in common with large political groups. I have deep concerns for the moral compass of our country and find comfort in my faith in Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

All other faiths want to take away my eternal family, eternal friends and limit my eternal growth. Society identifies me as a "Morman". What I am is a man who believes that when I die my wife, children and I will still be a family...forever. That my dear friends and I will still be friends. That my pets will also be there with me in Heaven. That the Savior will be there to sort out all the concerns we on Earth are unable to sort out.My faith has room for all those seeking Christ. And that I will be judged by my heart come that day. My faith includes all who come unto Christ. The doctrine of my church teaches me that the Savior is my Brother and my Friend and all that the Father has given him is given to me also. The Book of Morman completes my testimony of Jesus Christ and Joseph Smth and the Prophets of the church inspire me.

How I live my faith

The Savior has redeemed me and atoned for my sins and nothing I do can save me only Christ can. But as a follower of Christ I try to emulate the Savior and honor him by serving both those of my faith and those who do not. As a member for over 30 years I find that the best answer to this question is I live my faith by serving. As a holder of Jesus Christs Priesthood I use that authority and power to bless lives. I use my physical abilities by visiting the sick, those in prison, helping the poor, widows, and elderly. I use my mental capacity I have been blessed with by teaching, listening, sharing, and being there for those who need me. And I try to keep my heart open for those who perhaps do not understand me. I try to have a positive attitude and lift the hand that hangs low.
