Hi I'm Dave

I grew up in Mesa, AZ, am a Computer Systems Engineer and love to play/watch any sport you put in front of me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent college graduate from ASU. I love to listen to music, and like to improve my skills at playing the guitar when I have some free time. I also love to play football, basketball, softball, ultimate frisbee, raquetball, hockey and any other types of pickup games I can find. I also work as a software engineer for a software company in Phoenix. I love my family and spending time with them and love being an uncle to my 8 nieces and nephews. I look forward to eventually finding myself a wife and having a family of my own.

Why I am a Mormon

Being raised as a Mormon and learning the teachings of the church, one of the biggest draws for me personally was the knowledge of possibility of Eternal families. I have a great relationship with my parents and my siblings and would do anything for them, so obviously the possibility of being with them forever is very appealing. I have always had faith in my savior Jesus Christ and had a great appreciation for his sacrifice for me and for mankind, but there came a time when I needed to find out if I believed that this was his church. Through diligent study of the scriptures and prayers to Heavenly Father I have received steady confirmations from the Holy Ghost that the church is the church of God and that the teachings are true. As I have continued to serve in this church and expand my understanding, the spirit has continued to testify of truth and strengthen my testimony.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve in this church and through that service, I have grown closer to my savior and grown closer to the people that I have served. The biggest influence in my life was my 2 year mission that I served in Donetsk Ukraine. Through my service in Ukraine, I strengthened my testimony of the savior and grew to love the people there. Also, in the current congregation that I worship with, I have had a few callings to serve with the leaders of the congregation and through my service with those leaders, I have grown to love an appreciate the way that the church is structured and know that the leaders were called of God. Lastly, I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve as a home teacher and visit with members of the congregation and have loved sharing my testimony of Jesus Christ with them and strengthening one another as they share their testimony with me.
