Hi I'm Camille

I'm currently studying High School Spanish Education, and learning to Ballroom Dance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family moved a lot growing up. I've never gone to the same school for more than three years. My dad has Crohn's Disease and my mom has had cancer and heart problems. My family is the most important thing to me. I'm currently studying High School Spanish Education in college and loving it. I'm very excited to be a teacher someday. I'm learning to Ballroom Dance and I'm loving it! It's definitely my favorite hobby. I also love taking pictures and scrap booking. My best friend is currently serving a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that this Church is true. I know that families can be forever and I'm so grateful for this knowledge. Through the trials my family has been through, I've always been comforted to know that no matter what happened, my family is a family forever. That has given me so much strength, this life is not the end and we will be together again after this life. This gospel makes sense to me, it feels right. I know that I can pray and receive personal revelation through prayer and scripture study. We have current Prophets and Apostles that talk to us and teach us just like Prophets and Apostles in the Old and New Testaments did. I know these are Men of God who are called of God. I know that when I repent I can be forgiven and my sins will be taken away and the Lord won't remember them anymore. I am grateful for the love my Heavenly Father has for me and the grace given to me by His Son who died for my sins. I know that the Atonement not only covers our sins, but also allows Christ to feel perfectly everything we've gone through. No matter what I've gone through, moving, my parents being sick, sins and the repentance process, trying to make friends, sibling problems, my Savior knows exactly how I feel and exactly how to comfort me and encourage me. I love Him so much and I am so grateful for His sacrifice for me. This gospel has helped me and encouraged me all my life, through times of trial and difficulty I have been strengthened and uplifted. I know that this is the True Gospel. I believe in it and I love it. The standards set by my Heavenly Father and revealed to us by Prophets help me be and stay happy and free to make my own choices. This gospel teaches me to love and help other people regardless of their religion or race or political affiliation. I love this gospel and I believe in this work. And that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways. I study my scriptures daily, I'm not perfect and sometimes I forget, but I do my best and I know that's enough for my Heavenly Father. I attend the LDS Institute at the college I go to and I love learning more about the gospel. I spend time with my family, and although we don't have a "Family Home Evening" we still spend a lot of time together and we all love each other very much. My little sister is my best friend. I try to do service with my ward and I try to find little ways to serve other people and become more Christlike. I currently attend a singles ward and am learning how to do visiting teaching (which is visiting other women in my ward and getting to know them and making friends and sharing a short spiritual message and making sure everything in their life is going well and helping them if they need help). I live my faith by living my standards and dressing modestly, even at Ballroom Dance Competitions, and living the Word of Wisdom and the Law of Chastity. I do my best to follow the example of my Savior.
