Hi I'm Brody

I am a newly called missionary, college soccer player, a brother, a big sports fan, an eagle scout, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Paraguay, Asuncion North Mission. I am 19 years old and just finished my freshman year of college at Utah Valley University. I play soccer and was a member of the UVU Division I soccer team. I am the oldest of 5, with 2 brothers and 2 sisters. I am a mathematics major, but want to be an Actuary. This means I want to work with numbers, and I am hoping to work in the MLS with the financial operations of a major league team.

Why I am a Mormon

I know this church is true. I know that our Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of His children, us! I know he knows us by our name, not by "that person who lives there". He knows me personally. I know that Jesus Christ came down to this earth and sacrificed his life to allow all of us to live with Heavenly Father again after this life. I know that Joseph Smith was sent to this earth to translate the Book of Mormon. I know without a doubt the Book of Mormon is true. The power of prayer is an amazing gift we have all been given. I know he not only listens to our prayers, but he answers our prayers as well. Yo sé que la iglesia de Jesucristo es verdadero. Yo sé que nuestro Padre Celestíal nos ama. Yo sé que él nos conoce por nuestros nombres. Él me conoce personalmente. Yo sé que el libro de mormon es las palabras de Dios.

How I live my faith

Currently, I live my faith as I am serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love to read the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon and the Life of Christ in the New Testament. I love serving others and I love to share my love for the gospel.

Are Mormons Christians?

People always say, well your Mormon, you are not a Christian. But we are Christians. We believe Jesus Christ to be the savior, and the only perfect human to ever walk the face of this earth. This is why we are called, The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another testament and witness of Jesus Christ. After you read the Book of Mormon, pray to YOUR Heavenly Father with sincerity to know for yourself that it is true. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

President Gordon B. Hinckley, prior president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints made the following statement in 2005 about Joseph Smith: “We do not worship [Joseph Smith] the Prophet. We worship God our Eternal Father and the risen Lord Jesus Christ. But we acknowledge the Prophet; we proclaim him; we respect him; we reverence him as an instrument in the hands of the Almighty in restoring to the earth the ancient truths of the divine gospel, together with the priesthood through which the authority of God is exercised in the affairs of His Church and for the blessing of His people” (Gordon B. Hinckley, “Joseph Smith Jr.—Prophet of God, Mighty Servant,” Ensign, Dec 2005, 2–6). Show more Show less
