Hi I'm Fernando

I grew up in San Diego and Phoenix. I am a perpetual student, I love my family and I am LDS.

About Me

I am a perpetual student aspiring to be a pharmacist some day. Currently I work in a pharmacy and have a wonderful family of three along with my lovely wife. I enjoy fishing, what a great time to relax in the great outdoors and see God's beautiful creations. I enjoy sport arms collecting or shooting although I don't have much time for that anymore. One think I would like to do some day is sleep, I think that more of it is a great thing. Not to much though don't want to become slothful. I grew a love for the people of New York as I spent around two years of my life there and hope to go back to there for Pharmacy School.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church in June of 2000, as I began I must admit it was only to be baptized and then go back to my old ways. As I learned about Christianity earlier in life and being baptized to become clean, it had been a while since my rebirth and had wandered away for a time. I needed that cleansing so I could start over. Just not the way I pictured it going to become Mormon. The missionaries asked me to be baptized and was only going to be temporary in my eyes until they invited me to pray about the things they were teaching. They asked me to pray to God about the Book of Mormon to ask if it were true, ask if God has restored His Kingdom on the earth and if Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. They guaranteed me an answer from God, which I thought was ludicrous praying for over 21 years of my life and then all of a sudden God would answer my prayer. At some point I did pray, I did receive that answer and did make the necessary changes to keep the commitments I made to live the Gospel. As it changed my life forever!

How I live my faith

I love to live what I believe as member of the church and it becomes a culture as we live our religion. I work with the young men and it is amazing to see their love for the gospel as they begin to learn the ways of life and see the importance of truly living what you believe and how it sets them apart as they choose to not partake of drugs, alcohol and immoral things of the world. I love service as we serve we truly learn to love our neighbor and put things like bigotry, racism and ignorance behind us. I have come to learn that we our all God's children he loves you just as he loves me and the next guy and gal. He has a plan for us and wants us to be able to return to him.

In whom should we have faith?

We should have faith in Jesus Christ, that he is the Son of God and that there is no other name by which mankind may be saved. Show more Show less
