Hi I'm Darla

I am a wife, mother and grandmother with LOTS of children and grandchildren, what else is there...Oh and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in sunny Arizona. My greatest joy comes from being with my "large" family. We go camping together, we go on vacations together, we are fortunate to be able to celebrate holidays and birthdays together. I love most watching the grandchildren in their school and summer activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of The Chuch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and raised in a prominently LDS community so being a Mormon was just a part of life. High standards was just someting you did and having good friends and examples growing up made it easier. Primary, Young Womens, Reief Society, Sacrement meetings, blessing of the Temple and the things I've learned through out my life has helped me gain a testimony. Going through the suffering of losing my eternal companion of 20 years and the father of our 7 small children at such an early age was a difficult trial to bear but having the knowledge of knowing that families are forever and that by living the gospel we will all be together again someday has been a great blessing to me and our children. The joy of watching my current companion find the gospel and gain his strong testimony of Jesus Christ and the gospel has increased my testimony even more and brought truly such happiness into our lives and the lives of our family. We have a living prophet who guides and directs this glorious church and its members. We have the Bible and Book of Mormom that will help us in our daily lives if we will but read and follow their teachings. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and I know that he loves me.

How I live my faith

I have the great pleasure of going to visit at least once a month with four wonderful sweet ladies that live in care centers for the elderly. The joy that shows in their faces as we talk with them of their lives, their children and grandchildren, as we listen to their sorrows as they tell of their aging bodies and now limited abilities and fear of whats to come. I have come to love these sweet sisters dearly. I try to live my life by being an example of goodness to all. In the work place or neighborhood, with my children and grandchildren. We are all children of a loving Heavenly Father and should be treated as such.
