Hi I'm Alexis.

I'm a student. I love my friends and family. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Alexis. I've been a Mormon my whole life. I'm the oldest of four siblings. Colorado is where I call home, but I'm currently going to school at Brigham Young University. So far I love everything about college! I've recently been called to serve as a missionary in the Guatemala Guatemala City Central Mission...I am so excited!! During high school, I played volleyball and ran distance in track. I'm one of those few crazy people who can say they actually enjoy running. When I'm not working or studying, I love spending time with my friends and family. I'm really into watching sports, especially football and basketball. I love trying new things and being adventurous. I went to Spain with my friends and discovered that I love traveling. Even though I'm busy with a lot of different activities, I've come to realize that church is by far my favorite part about my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have learned for myself how necessary the gospel of Jesus Christ truly is. There have been times when I have been unsure of my values, but now I know that the happiest way to live my life is through living the gospel. I am a Mormon because I know my Heavenly Father loves me more than I can comprehend. I know that He loves us so much that He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to die for us. I know that Christ overcame every trial, pain, sin, and emotion we might struggle with. We too can overcome our struggles through His loving sacrifice. This knowledge of my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ bring so much joy into my life. And that is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

To me, living my faith means more than just attending church meetings. I try my best to be a good example, read my scriptures, and pray every day. I've helped out with service projects through school and church. At church, I've served as a leader in my youth group and by helped to make sure other church members are receiving the friendship and service they need. I'm looking forward to living my faith through missionary work in Guatemala starting in August 2013.
