Hi I'm Desiree

I'm a Mormon. I am a daughter, a sister, a wife, and mother of five children. I am a teacher and learner.

About Me

I am a convert to the Mormon Church. I joined the church when I was seventeen years old. I knew I was searching for something in my life but didn't know what. My father died in an accident when I was ten years old, this would make any childhood more difficult. Mine became worse due to the fact that my mother had a very difficult time dealing with my father's death and started drinking more often. I always tried to remain optimistic about life and kept searching for positive outlets. When I was sixteen I met a family who were LDS. They invited me to church and we shall say the rest is history. It took me a year and many missionary discussions before I was baptized. I was never the type to jump head first, I always took baby steps. I have never regretted my decision to be baptized. It has given me strength and guidance in everything I have done. I am currently a third grade teacher and love working with kids. I have three wonderful children who are all adults now. I have a daughter who will be serving a full time mission in London England this year. I am married to a wonderful man who has 2 children from his previous marriage, who himself is a convert to the church. I will be experiencing an empty nest in a couple of months which is scary and wonderful at the same time. I am looking forward to what life has to bring!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy and gives my life purpose. The gospel gives me a plan, it makes me feel loved, it exposes me to wonderful people.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving the lord, serving the people, and most of all serving those in need. I teach in the Relief Society and love working with the wonderful women who are inspirational to me.
