Hi I'm Sara

Mom, sister, daughter, school board member, love to listen to music loudly, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm lucky to be a stay-home mother to 5 children. Prior to being a mother, I worked in the recreation field and resort industry. Currently serving on my city elementary school board. I enjoy volleyball, the outdoors, and family history.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to get baptized when I was 11 yrs. old. Since that time, I have not regrettted my decision and love the stability the church offers me. Family means a lot to me and this church is centered around the family. Listening to our prophet, reading the scriptures daily, and attending church each week, help me to know I'm loved by our Father in Heaven. Knowing the love I have for my children and believing my Father in Heaven loves me too... it just makes sense to be a Mormon. Nothing could make me happier!

How I live my faith

Outside of church, I serve on our school board. While I am serving, I know I am honest and pray to make the best decisions. In my stake (a group of 9 wards or churches) I serve as a primary counselor, a leader over leaders of the children's classes. This means I help with cub scouts by training the leaders in the wards. Besides serving the cub scout leaders, I visit monthly with 5 ladies in our church to give them a spiritual message and check on their temperal well-being. As a mother, I try to teach my children good values each Monday night in Family Home Evening and throughout the week.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Sara
If you follow the counsel given by our prophets, then you have family prayer twice a day. Monday nights are set aside for Family Home Evening, time to share the gospel in the home. Scripture study is also done daily. Each Sunday, we attend church as a family. Boys are involved in cub scouts and boy scouts. Girls have activities during the week. As adults we volunteer our time to serve in church. The lifestyle of a mormon means, gospel teachings are present in our daily lives. We strive to follow the teachings of our Savior, Jesus Christ in all that we do. Show more Show less
