Hi I'm Sid

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father. I enjoy working on my house and raising chickens. I spend a lot of time with the Boy Scouts and enjoy backpacking in the Olympic Nation Park. My favorite time is family night. We sing (not very well), we discuss the doctrine of Jesus Christ, we play games, and sometimes eat treats.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate to develop a prayerful relationship with my Heavenly Father at an early age. Though my parents did there best to teach me the gospel of Jesus Christ, their own relationship was diffcult. They got a divorce when I was 14. My life was turned upside-down. I found stability in the teachings of Jesus Christ and my relationship with my Heavenly Father became stronger. This experience and the guidance from my Heavenly Father has encouraged me to be the best husband and father I can be.

How I live my faith

As a Scoutmaster, I take the boys on backpacking trips where I not only get to share with them the skills of the outdoors but also the skills to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ. As a father, I spend time working and playing with my children. We try to read the scriptures every night, sometimes it is only a single verse before bedtime prayers but a constant reminder of the essential things of life. As a husband, I listen to my wife. Weekly we discuss the comings and goings of our busy life, we discuss ways we can improve, we plan how we can best help our children. I try to live my life with faith in Jesus Christ, sharing the love He has shown me.
