Hi I'm Ross

I work in the distribution center of an orthopaedics factory in Warsaw, IN. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 33 years to the same woman. I work in the distribution center of a large orthopaedics plant. I worked 23 years at a small oil refinery and one year at a grey iron foundry. I like to go fihsing because I like to eat fish. For the same reason I hunt rabbits. I only hunt rabbits, not shoot them. I am to slow. My wife and I have five children all of whom are married. We have nine grandkids and two on the way. I live on the edge of a small town (pop. 1500) in Indiana. I enjoy vegetable gardening, fishing for bluegill and disc golf (although I don't play anymore because I am no good and couldn't figure out how to get better.

Why I am a Mormon

I gain spiritual strength and my relationship with Christ grows stronger as I worship, work and serve with the wonderful people that I fellowship with in the church. The principles taught by the church give me distinct and concrete goals to guide me down the path of righteousness. Rearing our children was much easier when we had the principles of the church to guide and direct us as we dealt with the ups and downs of life with 5 children who became teenagers. The opportunity to learn from modern day prophets is also a big reason for my staying with the church. I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1978 and was converted in 1981 when I finally decided to strive to live my life in a manner consistent with the teachings of Christ and the church.

How I live my faith

My most memorable times spent in the church have been in dealing with the youth and the leaders of the youth programs. The companionship and direction of the Holy Ghost has been strongest when I was in positions where I served the youth of the church. Currently my service in the church involves taking care of the money and records of the church. I have taught Sunday School and been a leader in the men's group, which we refer to as the priesthood.
