Hi I'm Kayla

I was a teacher but now I get to stay home with my girls and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of three beautiful daughters with curly hair. I have always wanted to be a mother and like most LDS women wanted to get married at an early age. Heavenly Father had different plans for me. Before getting married, I went to college and got a degree in education from Idaho State University. After graducation and before teaching school I served a mission where I taught the gospel to those in Alabama. I came home and taught school 3 years before getting married to my prince charming. I contunued to teach for 6 more years. I am currently staying home with my children and find that a new adventure which I love.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and many of my friend were too. When we did our personal progress for the Young Women program, I was not sure what some of my goals should be. My very best frind Jennifer made it a goal to read the Book of Mormon and that sounded like a good goal so I followed her example and read the book. It was at this time I gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon, the Prophet Joseph Smith, and the plan of salvation. I remember taking Moroni's challenge found in Moroni 10:1-5 and getting the confirmation of the truthfullness of the Book of Mormon through the sweet feeling of the Spirit. I am grateful for good friends and examples around me because they have influenced my life for good.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ there are many opprotunities to serve. I have helped in soup kitchens, cleaned roadways, made quilts, and worked with the youth. I learned to love the youth when serving in Primary ages 3-11. Here we get to teach the foundation of the gospel of Jesus Christ restored on the Earth. We get to teach about the love our Heavenly Father has for us. We teach of our Savior love as well and of His sacrifice on the cross. We teach about he restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ again on the Earth. Once we have taught these things I encouraged the youth to pray to know if what I taught them is true. There is power in prayer and through praying to my Father in Heaven I know the things I teach are true.
