Hi I'm Julie

I am a soldiers wife. I am a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a bachelors degree in linguistics, I have always loved languages. I lived in Madagascar for 18 months as a missionary and spoke French and Malagasy. I hope to teach literacy to adults someday, Especially mothers. I know reading can change their lives... and the lives of the children and friends. I believe mothers have a great influence on society. I don't teach literacy now because I have 4 children at home... they are priority right now. We are so busy with school, lessons, friends, and church I don't know when I would teach outside the home... but I know my time will come. I am also a soldiers wife. This is challenging and exciting. We move almost every year. I am grateful for the experience. I know so many incredible people! The families of deployed soldiers make so many sacrifices. When my husband goes we miss him... and we are so grateful for the other families their support and love make it easier. These are amazing people who love America and give so much. I like to quilt and sew. I like to see the projects come together. I also like to design floor plans and interiors. This is just fun right now... maybe someday I will get some credentials. I also love music, especially classical music. All of my children are receiving a musical foundation.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I see truth, peace, and safety for myself and for my children in the teachings of Jesus Christ. I believe it is a pathway through this life which will return us back to our loving Father in Heaven. I know God is real. I have felt His love for me. It has been confirmed over and over to me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is truly God's church on the earth today. I hope all can learn of God's love for them. The world can be such a mess, but I find peace knowing that God knows me, loves me and cares what happens to me and my family. I want to follow God's plan for me.

How I live my faith

I have done many things, each different in the different places we have lived. I taught the young children, I taught the toddlers. I have been a secretary for the women's organization. I have loved and visited with the ladies in their homes in each place I have lived. I have taught Sunday School. Most recently I taught the 14-16 year old girls. I also help organize visits to members homes.
