Hi I'm Bonnie

I am a wife, a mother of 3, and a business owner. I love traveling, photography, & volleyball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in California. My hobbies include spending any moment I can with my husband, photography, playing volleyball, rollerblading, dancing, playing with my children, and traveling. My love of traveling started young. I studied French in high school and was given the opportunity to spend a summer in Montreal. I went on to major in French Teaching in college and spent a summer working in a grocery store in Switzerland. My love for the French language, culture, and people grew and when I was 21 years old I was excited for the opportunity to spend 18 months in France on a mission for my church. After, I continued my studies and earned my degree in French Teaching and Communications. I met my husband at the university that we attended in Utah. He also speaks French fluently and 2 days after we were married, we spent a semester living, working, and studying in Paris together. We have now been married for 10 years and have 3 beautiful children. My life as a wife and a mother brings me so much joy. My husband and I are self-employed business owners. Though it is harder work than I could ever imagine, I am so grateful for the flexibility that it gives us to spend quality time with our children. My husband spends his days hard at work for our business and I spend most of my time loving and caring for our children.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was raised in the Mormon Church, I have had many opportunities to gain my own testimony of this gospel. As a teenager, I have many memories of being "different" than most of the kids that surrounded me. I was on my high school volleyball team, traveling club volleyball team, involved in many clubs, and Co-Activities Director for my school of 3,500 students. I knew a lot of kids and like most of them, I was trying to figure out who I was. I went to church each Sunday, attended scripture study class each morning, and was active in my church youth group. Even at that point I knew what things brought me true happiness. I liked being different because I knew that following Christ and His teachings brought me real happiness. It wasn't always easy to stand up for my beliefs and standards, but it was always worth it! I have had many experiences with people trying to tear down my beliefs and my faith, but His gospel has never failed me. I have a great testimony of my Heavenly Father. I know that He knows me individually and that He loves me. I know that His son, Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I'm a Mormon because I can't deny the joy and peaceful spirit that come from this gospel.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a teacher/advisor for the young women in our local church group. I absolutely love working with the youth and I am so impressed by their strength and devotion to their standards and beliefs. I try to take advantage of any opportunity that arises to serve in my children's school, in the community, and in my church organization.
