Hi I'm Sheila

I love a project and being busy. I love to be outside, being a homemaker and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife, mother and grandmother. We have four married children...and...17 grandchildren!! Having an empty nest has been a real challenge for me. It has been a few years now so I am getting better at it. I love staying busy and active in life and service. I enjoy exercising 6 days a week. I worked part time at an elementary school for several years. I love children. I love to sew, bake, crochet. I collect recipes and have way too many. I also enjoy interior design. I especially enjoy doing things with and for my family. I started a small home business about 5 1/2 yrs ago. I bake and sell cookies. How fun is that?? One of my favorite ways to serve is to give away sacks of freshly baked cookies.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The most important person in my life is the Savior, Jesus Christ. My knowledge of the restored gospel gives my life meaning and direction. Because of this knowledge I understand why I am here on this earth, where I am going after this mortal experience and what I need to do in order to live with my Savior and my Father in Heaven again. Even though I make mistakes I know that because of the Atonement I can repent and keep trying to do better and improve each day. One of the most important responsibilities that I have is being a wife, mother and grandmother. I believe that families can be forever. As a daughter of God I have meaning and purpose and an important job to do!

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily challenge and opportunity. We are taught by the Savior to love and serve one another. I try to look for opportunities to serve others. Some of my most rewarding experiences are when I am able to help someone feel uplifted and encouraged. I have been a member of and have served in our church's organization for women for many years. We perform many acts of service. Our organization's motto is, "Charity Never Faileth". I feel honored and privileged to be a part of this wonderful organization for women.
