Hi I'm Shirley.

I grew up in Hong Kong. I am a mother of two beautiful daughters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay home mom. I love sewing, cooking and watching Korean dramas. I love meeting people from all over the world as I studied International Cultural Studies in college. I love mathematics and was a tutor for Maths and English for more than 5 years in China.

Why I am a Mormon

I was 15 when I was baptized. Two missionaries were lost on a bus in HK and asked my mom and my sister the direction. Then they told my mom that they have English classes at church every week. My mom sent my sister and I to learn English at church. The missionaries taught us about the church and the beliefs and we prayed about it and knew that it was true. We got baptized. My mom was shocked that we wanted to get baptized but she still gave us her consent. I am so grateful that I made a wonderful decision that changed my life forever. I am so blessed to have the the gospel in my life and it has been guiding me all along. Since then I have served a mission for the church and I have married a wonderful man in the temple. I know my family is eternal.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and I teach 6 years old kids. They are so cute and smart. They know so much about Jesus Christ and God. I am always touched by the wonderful spirits that these kids have. I am also assigned to visit and care for 4 sisters in the ward. I visit these sisters almost every month and share with them my love for Jesus Christ. The church has such a wonderful support system within the church that everyone can be cared for.
