Hi I'm Betsy.

I'm a photographer, an artist, a wife, and a mother of two. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a ceramics shop and love anything to do with art. Painting and photography are my passions, because I love to create beauty and capture it. I am originally from California, but moved to Arizona shortly after I married my sweetheart. We have two beautiful daughters and I am lucky enough to be home with them. When I was 15, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and this continues to be something I have to deal with on a daily basis. I can't always do the things I would like to do, and struggle with simple tasks, especially when it comes to raising my children. The knowledge that Christ will lift our burdens and I will one day be made whole is what helps me stay positive.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I choose to be. The plan of salvation has taught me that families can be together forever and that God does love us. I recently lost my father and the thing that helps me get through the day to day is the knowledge that I can be with him again someday. I am grateful for the knowledge that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins so this can be possible. I grew up in the church and was baptized when I was 8 years old. I always believed in the church but it wasn't until I was 22 and fell away that I had my conversion to the gospel. Through my struggles, I came to realize that the last time I was truly happy, was when I was living the gospel. I cleaned up my life, met the man of my dreams, and can honestly say that I am happy. I love this church with all my heart and feel so blessed with the life that I have.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the commandments and our prophet's counsel. I study the scriptures daily, by myself and with my family, and have daily talks with my Father in Heaven through prayer. I go to church regularly and teach the 14-15 year old girls. They are amazing and I am so blessed to be able to teach and share my testimony with them each week. I love to serve and am grateful that the church gives me ample opportunity to do so.
