Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a Hoosier. I work in physical therapy, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy running, camping, and playing basketball, along with about any other outdoor activities. I love to cheer on the Philadelphia Eagles football team. I'm also learning to fish and have my brothers and dad as great teachers. I'm going to school to become a Physician Assistant and plan to work in orthopedic surgery. I love kids and can't wait to have my own family some day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon, but it was until I entered high school that I realized I had come to a crossroads in my life. I could either follow what seemed to be the easier, more common practices of my peers or hold on to the values that my parents and the Church had instilled in me long ago. My choice to stay true to my faith and not only what I believed in, but what I knew to be true, was not made by a solitary decision, rather, it was one decision after another. And so it is today as well. As the Chinese proverb states, "the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." For me, it is hard to look at the entire journey, so I try to focus on each step, to not just call myself a Christian, but to act like one. The "journey" I am striving for will lead me back to Heavenly Father. I'm not perfect, but His love is. He can help when we fall off the path. Prayer has helped me realize that. God loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for us. I know Jesus Christ lives. I continue in this gospel because it brings great blessings and so much happiness.

How I live my faith

I participate in church by making the bulletin each Sunday with the speakers listed and any announcements/upcoming events and add this information to the calendar on our website. I also help out with teaching the little kids at church- they are always entertaining!
