Hi I'm Mitch

I grew up as a surf bum in Southern California, love to travel and learn about new people and cultures. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California a complete surf bum. That's all I lived for. I still love to surf, but life has changed. Now I have the privilege of being the husband to the most amazing woman in the world, the father of one precious little boy, and a little princess on the way! I love to mountain bike, hunt, travel (I've visited more than 25 different countries), enjoy the outdoors, learn other languages and anything else adventurous!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents became members of the Mormon church before I was born, so when I came into this world, I didn't have much of a choice. My mother was raised baptist and my father catholic, so they married in the Protestant church to "meet in the middle." They searched for years for a church that felt right... one that put an emphasis on the family. I feel more than lucky that the Mormon missionaries knocked on my parent's door one day to share the message of eternal families. Now, more than 30 years later I cannot express how thankful I am for the decision my parents made to become members of the Mormon church. I am a better husband, father and overall person today because of that one small decision. I can't imagine knowing that when I pass from this world I would not have the opportunity of being with my precious family forever! This is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

As a family we pray together, read the scriptures together and set aside one night per week where nothing else matters but being together! I love the togetherness that exists in the Mormon church. I have the privilege of teaching the youth about God and Jesus Christ and how to stay out of trouble and be upstanding members of the community.
