Hi I'm Shelley

I am a Mormon, and a wife, and a mother, and a math teacher.

About Me

I was raised in the small town my Mormon ancestors helped settle. I love music and sports, especially softball and volleyball. I served a mission for the Church for a year and a half in Utah of all places. Since that was not exotic enough;), I did my student-teaching in Mexico and my first year of teaching in Alaska. Then I met my husband and settled down a bit. We now have three living children plus two waiting for us in heaven. I am a full-time math teacher and even fuller-time wife and mother.

Why I am a Mormon

It is my heritage. My parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and a few great-great-grandparents were Mormons. They were not perfect by any means, but they lived what they believed. I am so grateful they taught me to believe in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Peace and strength come as I try to live as a disciple of Christ. I have turned to Him when I have been at my lowest points and He has always strengthened me and helped me. I love Him.

How I live my faith

As I start my day I try to put God first by reading His word in the scriptures. Also, I pray for my husband and children. We pray together. I feel our family grow closer and stronger when we do.
