Hi I'm Vanessa

I am a devoted wife, busy mother of four beautiful children, and jack of all trades. I am a mormon.

About Me

I am a young mother- meaning I started young and am still not 30(!)- and have four children. True happiness comes in those rare moments when all four are playing happily together and laughing! The best day of my week is date night with my husband. I am a licensed cosmetologist and certified eyelash extensionist. I love sewing, cooking, baking, interior design, and eating at good restaurants (can that be a hobby?).

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised LDS and from a very young age, knew in my heart the truth of the gospel. At age 13 I truly gained a deep testimony after reading the Book of Mormon and praying to know if it was true. I married a return missionary at age 18 and we started our family 16 months later. Over the last ten years, when difficult trials were thrown our way, I survived from the knowledge that I am a child of God. He is my Father and He loves me. Jesus Christ is my brother and Savior and knows all of the pain, anguish, and sorrows I have and will feel. When I've felt lost or alone, I can pray for comfort, guidance, and direction and turn to the scriptures for the answers I seek. He is always there waiting when I ask in Faith. I am a Mormon because I know that this is His true church. It is patterned after the Church when Christ lived, and we have a living prophet and apostles who receive revelation for our day. I know this is true and love the gospel!

How I live my faith

I have an amazing community and am close to many of my neighbors. I love to serve and am the recipient of many acts of service from wonderful neighbors and friends. I work with a group of AMAZING 14 & 15 year olds in my ward. They love the Lord and are living exemplary lives. We meet on Sundays and Wednesdays. I'm also a Visiting Teacher and love knowing that all of the women in the ward are concerned for each others' welfare. As a mother of an eight year old we're also involved in the scout program and Duty to God. It's great to see the gospel in action as my son accomplishes goals that teach him worthwhile skills and value.
