Hi I'm Merrill

I grew up in Tempe Arizona, I enjoy volunteering for the boy scouts of america. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies and interests include playing the guitar, camping, spending time with family, sports of all varities. I am a father of 1 boy who we adopted back in June 2010. I love being a father and to watch my boy change and develop. I am an engineer and enjoy problem solving and learning about new technology.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a Mormon, or I prefer member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, because I have noticed a consistency with the programs of the church: the spirit of the Lord is present. My parents are members too, but I found out for myself, from my own experience that following the gospel of Jesus Christ helps me maintain peace of conscience and growth in ways that I can feel closer to my Heavenly Father. I attribute all of my greatest joys in this life to blessings that have come when I participate in and following the direction from the living prophets and apostles. This is another reason, by revelation Heavenly Father communes with his living prophet who is the president of the church. I hear and feel both logic and love when I listen to the prophets admonitions and council.

How I live my faith

Since I have been married I have been mainly serving in the activity arm of the young mens organization known as scouting. I love to go on monthly camping trips helping young men have opportunities to learn new skills, get away from city life and help them see how activities they experience can relate to spiritual or moral principals. I also visit a few families at least 1 time each month to share a spiritual thought, learn of their needs and how I might help them in any way.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Merrill
Mormons believe in the bible because the bible testifies of the divinity of Jesus Christ. The bible is a collection of sacred writings containing God's revelations. It stands as a whitness of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
