Hi I'm Connie

I am a single mother focused on my career and raising my teen-age daughter. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My life growing up was made up of camping, hiking, and enjoying the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my amazing brothers and parents. I was devistated when I became a single parent 13 years ago when my daughter was a baby. Although it is not my first choice, I appreciate my career and the life I have created for us, with gods loving hands watching over and helping. Every day I learn something new and God is my hope and strength. I hope that God's plan for me, although as painful as life has sometimes been, has purpose which I will someday fully understand. For fun, I love to travel, spend time with my daughter, try new things, and enjoy anything fun in the water that includes boats, swimming and warm weather!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon, which is the foundation of Christ I have built my life on which has proved unshakable. I am blessed to be able to raise my daughter in the faith and what a joy it is to see her testimony grow through the experiences we share being members of the church. It is tough being a single parent raising a teenage daughter, but with the church it is so great to have such strong positive influences and values in our lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily by the way I live my life. I enjoy sharing the joy I have in living the strong values that are the Mormon gospel principles with the many people I meet in my employment, community, and friends.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The Word of Wisdom is like a general health code for the church. It is inspired doctrine from our beloved prophet Joseph Smith nearly 2 centuries ago. Living the Word of Wisdom means using no coffee, illegal drugs, tea, alcohol, smoking, Tobacco. I personally like to take the Word of Wisdom a step further and try to not put anything into my body that would cause harm. To me, this includes eating healthy, exercising, and in general trying to stay in good health. I love living this way and having no addictions. Show more Show less
