Hi I'm Chad Applegate

I'm from Arizona. I play the cello and piano. I love math and physics. I am a missionary and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from high school and will go to college after I finish serving the Lord in Argentina. I excelled in high school and really loved learning new things. I especially enjoyed math and physics. I want to either get a degree computer science or engineering. I am a musician, having played the piano for ten years and the cello for eight. I come from a large family with five siblings and love my family dearly. I like technology, especially cell phones and can spend endless hours reading articles about them. I like camping and biking and hiking and just being outside. I also love to read and watch television shows.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS Church and from a very young age was taught about the gospel by my parents. I attended church and learned more about Christ there. As I grew I studied the scriptures, lived the gospel, and prayed to my Father in Heaven and as I did this I grew to know that the church was true. The Holy Ghost has born witness to me that Jesus Christ died for me and was resurrected on the third day, that Thomas S Monson is a prophet of God, that the Book of Mormon is a true book, and that priesthood power is real. I have also learned that I am happiest when I live the gospel. All joy and happiness comes from God. When we obey him he blesses us more than we realize. God loves us infinitely. I am a Mormon because I feel his love, I feel the joy that comes into my life when I follow him, and I see the blessings that he constantly sends my way. I have grown to love him and because of that I try to only make choices that would make him happy. That is why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

I live my faith in a variety of ways. First every day I pray to my Heavenly Father and read my scriptures. I also spend time with my family, try to always remember Christ and make good choices throughout the day. Every week I attend three hours of Church on Sunday, take the sacrament to renew my baptismal covenants and devote my Sunday to bringing myself closer to Christ. I am serving a mission in Argentina and am inviting and helping others come unto Christ. Overall I live my faith by striving every minute of every day to make the choices that Jesus Christ wants me to make and act the way that he would act.
