Hi I'm Lisa.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work full time at an insurance company and I'm taking some college classes at night. I just got married a little over a year ago, and things are going great. Life is super busy, and often times stressful with so much going on. Life is an adventure right now, that's for sure.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church by parents who set an amazing example for me. They were married in the temple, and always taught me and my eight siblings the importance of living the gospel so that we can live together forever. Because of this great example, I have chosen to be married to my husband in the temple. I know that if we live up to the covenants we make with our Heavenly Father, He will not only bless us in this life, but also in the life to come. I hope that when we raise our children one day that we can also help them to understand the importance of living the gospel.

How I live my faith

It's not always easy to live up to the standards of the gospel. I'll admit, it sometimes gets disheartening when you see the seemingly "perfect" people all around you. One thing that helps is to understand is that God sees something in YOU, regardless of those around you. We each have a purpose here. I have been called to serve in the Primary in our ward where I help to teach the gospel to 3 and 4-year-olds. I learn so much from them about this principle. Each one of them is so uniquely different. Even at such a young age, God knows and loves each one of them. Teaching them helps me to live my faith. By preparing lessons for them, I am constantly reminded to be a good person: to be honest, to be kind, to be helpful, to be forgiving, etc. And although I am far from perfect, it's nice to know that I have a Heavenly Father who is routing for me every step of the way, because He knows my full potential.
