Hi I'm Jeanne

I am an adult convert. I like being outside and enjoying nature.

About Me

I have been married to my husband for 30 years. We have 3 children ages 24, 21 and 13. Our family really enjoys being outdoors. We love 4 wheeling in the desert or just sitting by a campfire. We also like water sports and just being on the lake. We like having big gatherings that include our family, friends and neighbors. Others interests of mine are photography, horses and sewing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized at the age of 18 by my husband who has been a member of the LDS faith all of his life. I had many mormon friends in high school. I was familiar with the teachings of the mormon faith but was reluctant to learn more because of my catholic background and the disapproval of my mother and father . After meeting my would be husband, I wanted to know more. I began talking with the missionaries and knew that what I was reading was true and what I was feeling was the influence of the Holy Ghost. Upon being baptized, I began to have that feeling even more as I learned all about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I know that it is part of the plan of happiness that our Heavenly Father has given to each of us. Now, 30 years later, my family loves and accepts my faith. They know that it brings me great peace and happiness. When trials come upon me, my deep and abiding faith has buoyed and lifted me up when all else fails. My family is the most important thing my life and to know that we are eternal brings me great joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being obedient to the commandments and learning more of our Heavenly Father and what He wants me to do while I'm here on the earth. One thing I know He wants us to do is serve each other. It doesn't have to be a big thing, sometimes just reaching out and being a friend to someone is all that is needed. I believe this is a spiritual gift that my Heavenly Father has given me. Other times we can be an instrument in His hands and do whatever service is needed. I love the way I feel when I know I have done His will. To me, it is very important to be yourself. I want my family, friends and neighbors to know who I am and what I stand for. I believe that when we are true to our beliefs and others see that we are happy in doing these things, they will want to know more about how we came upon this happiness. It has been a great blessing to be able to share this knowledge with others. I am not perfect, none of us are but we are all part of one big heavenly family and thats makes us responsible to one another. I have a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice. I live my faith be desiring to learn more of Jesus Christ and His mission while He dwelt upon the earth and understanding how it applies to me in my life.
