Hi I'm Heather

I have a college degree. I am an entreprenuer. I am the mother of 8 beautiful children, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I met my husband just before I graduated from high school and we were married a year and a half later. He wasn't a member of the LDS church when we met, but he had friends who were. He was baptised 5 months after we started dating, and he asked me to marry him 7 days later. A lot of people thought we were foolish. We weren't even sure about what we were doing, but after 17 years of shared trials we are so very grateful that Heavenly Father helped us to find each other. We have 8 children, 4 boys and 4 girls. We love the gospel. We have had numerous trials, including 5 different times of unemployment. Through it all we have grown closer together and more in love because together we turn to a loving Heavenly Father to help us through each of our trials.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an LDS home. My parents loved the gospel and shared it with me throughout my life. I don't remember an time in my life when I didn't feel a sense of love from Jesus Christ. I remember times as a child when I was protected from danger. About 10 years ago I started writing my personal history. As I added current events, I continued to be amazed that Heavenly Father showered me with blessings. There have always been plenty of trials, but I have felt as the people of Alma as the Lord said, "I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand a s witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I , the Lord God, do visit my peple in their afflictions." (Mosiah 24:14) I add my testimony, that the Lord has eased my burdens and made them light. He knows me and he loves me, and I feel his love. That is why I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know this is the Lords true church and I am so very happy and blessed to be a mormon.

How I live my faith

I am a cubscout leader in my community. I work with kids who are in the same church as I am and with kids who belong to other churches. Over the years I have served in my church teaching children and adults. I have organized events and sang in the choir. I try to serve where ever I am asked to serve. I know that as I serve in my church and teach others or participate in church events I grow as a person and I have opportunties to become more like the Savior. I am so very grateful for the opportunity to learn and serve in my church and in my community.
