Hi I'm Brittany

I'm a stay at home mom. I love to cook, read and craft. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have two young kids and I am a stay at home mom. I graduated from college with a degree in social work. I enjoy cooking, reading, sewing, crafting, and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member my whole life. I continue to be a Mormon not because this is all I have known, but because I have prayed and gained my own testimony that this is the true church. By living the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I know that I can live with my family forever. Being a member brings such joy, peace and perspective in my life. The gospel helps me to keep the important things in focus, helps me be a better person, and gets me through tough times in life.

How I live my faith

Right now I teach the young children in my ward (ages 18 months-3 years old aka "nursery"). I teach them simple and basic doctrines of the Gospel. I try to be like the Savior in all other areas of my life. Being a Mormon isn't just a Sunday thing. It is something that influences me every day of the week in how I treat others and the decisions I make. It especially helps me as a mom. I try to look for opportunities to serve others and find joy in being able to help others out, either by babysitting their kids, or bringing a family a meal. I love that, as a member of the church, we are all watching out for each other, both temporally and spiritually. We moved away from all our family for a job and it was much easier to move knowing that I would have a "ward family" and have the gospel no matter where we were. We had instant friends and family. I'll never forget after a big storm we had in the area our home teachers calling us and making sure that we were all OK and I'll always remember my visiting teachers and the help and support I received after having my two babies.
