Hi I'm Sister Austin

I'm a fun-loving, music-playing, song-singing, Gospel-preaching missionary. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, everyone who reads this! My name is Sister Jessi Austin. I am currently serving as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Before my mission, I was attending school at BRigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I love to sing! It's probably my favorite thing to do. I also like to dance, act (sorta) and read. I'm also excited to become a mother someday! As the First Presidency has said, "Motherhood is near to divinity. It is the highest, holiest service to be assumed by mankind. It places her who honors its holy calling and service next to the angels.” I know that, with the Gospel as the center of my family, I can raise my children with good morals and values.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that living the standards in this Church is the only way to be truly happy. I know that Jesus Christ suffered and died for me. Without that knowledge, I would have been filled with an utter hopelessness every single day of my life. But, because He died for us, I know I can repent and return to live with Him someday.  I've heard that "gospel" means "good news" in some other language. I've never heard news better than the news this Church brings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to live as Christ did, and by repenting when I mess up. As a missionary, it's no different. We try to share the Gospel the way that Christ did, by serving and teaching as many people as we come in contact with. It's hard sometimes, but such a blessing to be trusted by the Lord to share His Gospel.
