Hi I'm Brea

I'm from Nebraska. I am serving a German speaking mission. I love my family and the Lord. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a sister, a daughter, and a friend. I value my health, so I run, bike, swim, and play soccer. I cook because it's relaxing and it brings people together. I play piano and sing for the beauty of the notes. I study hard in my college classes because I'm curious about everything and want to learn it all. I love animals and being outdoors. My family is the most important part of my life. I love my Father in Heaven and his Son Jesus Christ, and I try to live every day remembering and honoring them.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because of the meaning it gives me. My whole theory on life is that it needs to mean something and be substantial. I don't want to wake up 80 years from now and see a colorless life. As a Mormon, with the fullness of the gospel, I can obtain everything life has to offer. With the Book of Mormon and the Bible, present-day prophets and apostles, temples, personal revelation, and the priesthood authority, I can learn about life and better my relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Just because I'm a member of the true church doesn't mean hard times do not come. I feel it all: joy, despair, passion, excitement, disappointment, love, and friendship. But those emotions are what make life so worthwhile. Christ came to earth to learn about life and perform the Atonement so that he could walk next to us and help us each individually. My faith in Him is what helps me make it through the tough times, and rejoice in the good times.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to make each day count. I pray and read my scriptures daily in order to gain knowledge and the presence of the Holy Ghost. I also try to be a disciple of Christ as I go about my day (to class, work, running errands, living with my roommates, etc.) I go to church on Sunday's, where I partake the Sacrament, teach a Gospel Principles class, and attend an all-women's class (Relief Society). I am also the secretary for our church student organization at my college campus.
