Hi I'm Linda

I'm a wife, mom and a First Grade teacher. I love to read and scrapbook. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a wife and mother. I have been married for almost 26 years and love to spend time with my husband. We have two children. Our daughter is getting married this year and our son is on a mission. I love teaching. Right now I am teaching First Grade. I have a wonderful class of eager learners. I have always loved to read. My idea of a perfect day would have to include time to read! I also am a scrapbooker...sometimes to my family's dismay! I have been known to take way to many pictures. Once on a rafting trip I got flipped over the side of the raft...but my camera was looped around my wrist and I did manage to take a picture of the raft as I was swept away.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormom but I live as a Mormon by choice. Following the teachings of Christ, my Savior, bring me happiness and peace. It gives focus and clarity to my life. Knowing that God lives and loves me helps me deals with the challenges I face. I cannot imagine my life without the framework of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day by being kind and happy. I want others to feel the same happiness and peace that I have in my life. Having my son leave on a mission has given me the opportunity to talk to others about why he is willing to leave his regular life for 2 years. I have an opportunity to share with others the joy I feel in his willingness to serve God. I won't see him for 2 years. I will only get to talk to him on the phone at Christmas and Mother's Day...and I am happy! I am happy that he has lived a life that allows him to serve a mission. I am happy that he is willing to give two years of his life to God. I am happy that he is finding joy in what he is doing. I know he will come home a better person because of the experiences he has had. My husband and I are already planning to serve a mission when we retire...we can hardly wait!
