Hi I'm Ace

I am a geek, an artist, an Eagle Scout, a big brother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a geek. I enjoy comic books, movies and I enjoy a good trivia contest. I am also an Eagle scout and enjoy being out doors. I am also an artist. I love drawing, painting, and the occasional doodle. I guess that being able to draw well doesn't help some one with ADD. I wasn't always the best student in school but I guess I did OK. I am the oldest of five brothers, so everything I do is and has been an experiment for me and my parents. Growing up in in a family where the oldest and the youngest are 16 years apart can be interesting. I know what it is like to grow up with siblings that don't always get along. So that's me, I am a geek, a know it all, an artist, a big brother and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church. It has always been a part of my life. I didn't obtain a full testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel until I was 16. I decided to take the challenge of praying to know what I was tought was true. Having read the Book of Mormon for myself and having a new desire to know the truth weather or not the the Book of Mormon and it's teachings were true. And I knew that if it was in deed true, then I knew the Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder-Day Saints is God's Church on the Earth today. I took some time and I began to pray again, I asked If the Book of Mormon is true. I had my answer. I didn't have angels or God himself come down and give me my answer but I quietly knew in my heart that it is true. And because I know the Book of Mormon is true, I know that Joseph Smith was a true and living prophet and restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Earth. I have been a Mormon my whole life, and because I know the Book of Mormon is true, I will always be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith as I always have. I regularly attend church on Sunday. I do service work for the community sponsored by my church. I have held callings that involved the youth. I pay my tithing and fast once a month. I study the scriptures, trying to learn more. I go to ward parties and potlucks. I go to dances put on by the church and meet new people like me. I still do "normal" things like hang out with my friends. One thing that always do is pray. Pray about everything; from where my car keys are, to how I should apraoch a problem. I am currently serving a mission in Canada.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Nope. Absolutely not. We worship God the father and his Son, Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
