Hi I'm Maghan

Student. Outgoing. Laughing is my favorite. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the church and I've been raised in it as well. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends doing fun activities. I also enjoy sitting down and reading a good book or just watching a movie. I'm currently attending BYU-Idaho studying to be a Medical Assistant. I love meeting new people and I love just being around people and getting to interact with them. I believe everyone is special in their own way and everyone should be treated the same. We're all Children of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church and I've always known it was true. Most kids grow up relying on their parents' testimonies and I was the same way. However, I started to find and build my own testimony at a fairly young age. I have an extremely strong testimony of the power of prayer. There have been many instances in my life where I've needed help and I've prayed to the Lord and He has always helped me. Most times, it was a quick answer but other times, it took me a year or so to receive an answer but I received an answer nonetheless. I know without a doubt that the Lord DOES hear our prayers and he DOES answer. It's always in the Lord's timing though and we just need to learn to be patient. I love being a member of this church and I love reading the scriptures. Throughout my teenage years, I would attend seminary and I absolutely loved studying the scriptures there but I always had a hard time with my personal scripture study and I noticed I had a lot more struggles in my life. Recently, I've started doing my personal scripture study and I've already noticed a huge change in my life and I love reading the scriptures and learning more from them each time I read. I love reading them and finding verses, or chapters that say just what I need to hear/read. Whenever that happens to me, I know that that's the Lord speaking to me through the scriptures and telling me what I need to hear. I honestly don't know where I would be in my life right now if I didn't have the gospel in my life. Sometimes I'm scared to think of where I might be because I don't know what could be better than being a member of this church. I know this church is true and I know that Christ died for our sins so we could repent and I know he loves us. I know Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and I know the scriptures are true. I know he was a true prophet and that President Monson is our true prophet today. I love the gospel and wouldn't give it up for anything in the world.

How I live my faith

I personally think a major way I can live my faith is not only by verbally sharing with others but by living my faith by my actions. People will see that I act differently than other people. They'll see that I live my standards and that I'm a happy person because I choose to live my standards. I choose to be in the world, but not of the world. I love serving others and I take every opportunity I can to help other people. Whenever someone is in need, and if I'm able to, I will gladly extend a hand of fellowship to them. I love seeing the joy on people's faces when someone has helped them with something they need and that is the best reward. I also love sharing my beliefs with others. When someone asks me a question about my faith and religion, I LOVE sharing my answer with them. And if there's an answer I'm not sure of, I love going home and looking for an answer to share with them. I try my best daily to look for missionary opportunities so I can share what I believe with others who are interested. It brings me joy.
