Hi I'm Laura

I'm a wife. I'm an obstetrician. I'm a mother-to-be. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Texas...still my favorite place to be. I was raised in a family of 6 kids...blissful chaos. I loved college life at BYU...loved it! I went through medical school, and became an obstetrician & gynecologist...I love delivering babies! I have a great husband...who reminds me every day of the important things in life. I am a mother-to-be...and I can't wait for the ride to begin!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family where the gospel was our foundation. From an early age, I was constantly reminded in my home and at church that I am a special daughter of Heavenly Father. That is what I love so much about the gospel. Everything we are taught and do is because we are special children of God. My parents have reminded me every day from the time I was young that I am special, I am beautiful, and I have potential. I also know that God knows each one of us. To Him, we are each special, beautiful, and have a potential to become more than we ever can imagine. In fact, that is what He wants for us. Because of that love, He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to come to the earth and die for each one of us. I know that because of the suffering Christ did, He understands us, knows our challenges, and feels our concerns. I know that we are never alone. I know that Christ died for us, but more importantly, I know that He lives for us. I know He loves us. And, I know that He wants us to return home to our Heavenly Father. This knowledge gives me purpose and a plan, not only for my life, but for my daily living. I hope that I can live up to everything He knows I can be. And, even though I have made mistakes, I know that He has loved me through them. Our gospel focuses on family as the core of society. I love that. I love my family. Growing up in our home was one of the best things that ever happened to me! Now that I am married, I am excited for the hectic, yet wonderful life that awaits us. I love my family, I love my family, I love my family. I just can't say it enough. And, I can't imagine ever being without them. Because of the gospel, we will be able to be together forever, which is a long time. But, I am so grateful!

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day. It is who I am. My standards and values are founded in the gospel. It affects how I treat my family, my coworkers, and my friends. I love that our church life offers so many exciting fun things to do. I am very involved with the teenage group in the church, and we love planning fun activities on a regular basis. Being active in the church offers so many great experiences and service opportunities that have made me a better person!
