Hi I'm Donna

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a musical grandmother and finally finished my Associate Degree in general studies last year. It took me 43 years from high school, and 4 colleges to complete. During that 43 years I raised my 7 children, moved around the world, helped build a home, and always contributed my talents in music to those around me. Now I'm the proud grandmother of 33. I enjoy gardening, sewing, reading and music. This year I have photographed all the wild flowers I have seen growing near our home. My husband and I enjoy working together on projects. We have a Victorian Bulldog and two cats.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of this church brings me peace. There was a time when I considered 'dropping out' and stopped going for about 2 weeks. I felt miserable and missed the peace that I usually felt on Sunday. I realized that for me, Sunday is the Sabbath, a day of rest from the normal daily activities, and I enjoy the fellowship with my brothers and sisters in the gospel. I recognized that my Heavenly Father knows me and loves me and wants me to be happy. Keeping the Sabbath Day holy by attending church brings me peace. This church gives me the opportunity to learn, grow, teach, love, and share my talents evary Sunday. I'm glad I'm not a drop out!!!

How I live my faith

In our Ward, which is very small, I get to serve as the Ward Music Chairman, which means I'm heavily involved with worship music, choir music, special musical numbers for our Sacrament meetings, and music for special occasions. I love motivating others to share their talents! I also work with the women's group President as her secretary and help with reports and changes to sisters we visit. We have the best women in the church in our Ward!
