Hi I'm Rikelle

I'm a wife, mother, dreamer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently live in sunny Arizona. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 18 years and I am the mother of four great children. I work in the dental field and love to make people smile. I am passionate about art and any kind of creative outlet I can find.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home where religion was not really important. I thought that religion was only for children and when you grew up you didn't need church. When I was around 12 years old some girls from my neighborhood invited me to go to some of their activities at the Mormon Church. I immediately felt a kinship with these girls. I loved the activities and the way I felt when I went to their Church. Things were not always happy in my childhood home and I often felt scared and lost. I felt insignificant and thought that maybe God didn't even care about me. As I began to participate in the Gospel a new awareness came over me. I started to earnestly pray and read my scriptures. I began to understand that I was a daughter of my Heavenly Father and that He knew me. Through my participation in these activities I had many experiences that helped me understand that He, who created the Universe, loved me individually and had a plan and purpose for my life. In addition, I often spent time in the homes of the girls who first invited me. I loved the way their homes felt. I loved the way that their parents treated each other. I knew I wanted to have a home like that. I knew this Gospel would help me reach those goals. Through all of this I have been able to develop a relationship with my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that through all the storms that rage in life, they are the anchors on which I can rely.

How I live my faith

I am not perfect in any sense of the word, but I try each and every day to love God and my neighbor. I love to volunteer at my children’s elementary school where I run the volunteer art program. In the Church, I work with the teenage girls. I absolutely love working with them. It is so much fun to be around so much youth and vitality. I am constantly blown away by how amazing they are. So much of the world has a negative opinion of teenagers. They have not met the teenagers that I know. They work hard, are kind, serve others and love the Lord. I am so thankful to be a part of the Lord's church. I know it is true with all my heart.
