Hi I'm Ron.

I'm a husband, a father, and a grandfather. I farm, I ranch and I run. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California. I loved to water ski and snow ski. I left home and moved to Washington when I was 18. I went to work in the woods as a logger. I married the farmers daughter and have been married to her for 32 years. We have 4 children, and 3 grand children. I've always been self-employed. The story of my life is that nothing has ever turned out exactly the way I planned. But it's not for the lack of trying. Currently, I manage a fryer (chicken) farm and we have a small herd of registered angus cattle, and I farm about 160 acres of orchard grass/hay. My sons think that their father needs to be healthy so they have talked me into running. For the last year and half I have been tying up my running shoe laces and have entered myself into a few local runs, a triathlon and 2 half marathons. Other hobbies that I have are, scuba diving, which I haven't been able to do a lot of lately, wood working, and playing with my grand kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because through my life experiences, I have come to know and love my Savior. And as that has happened, I have had a desire to be one of His disciples and follow His examples.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by earnestly striving to know what my Heavenly Father and Savior would have me do. I try to meet the needs of my wife and children and be aware of the needs of my fellow brothers and sisters. Scripture study, prayer and following the words of a living prophet helps me to continue to live my faith daily. I just keep moving forward and I know that it isn't over until my Heavenly Father says it is.
