Hi I'm Craig

I am from Washington State. I served in the Navy and in the Army. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play guitar, try to sing and I write songs about any and everything. I have taught martials arts (2 different styles) since the 70's. I work in law enforcement. I love to shoot guns and practice my accuracy and speed. I train to use weapons and workout on my heavybag. I like to take care of my small farm or ranch, depending on how you look at it. Most of all I love to read and study the scriptures and to investigate comments on them by mormon and non-mormon authors.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I searched all religions and inquired through prayer and fasting as to which one was correct. My gut feeling was that only one could be correct, but, since there were so many I knew it was unlikely that I would find the answer by asking people and by just reading. The answer I received was that I should read the Book of Mormon. That may seem somewhat indirect, but actually it was the perfect answer for me. I got hold of some friends who are Mormons, got a copy of the book and haven't looked back. When I was baptized and received the Gift of the Holy Ghost, I diligently sought an outpouring of the spirit to confirm my faith. Due to receiving this outpouring of the spirit I have not had any questions since about the validity of the church or it's authority. I am a Mormon because this is the true church of Jesus Christ as verified to me by the Holy Spirit.

How I live my faith

I do what I am called to do and I try to be a good example. I typically do things in my community that do not get a lot of notice. I try to keep my involvement in most things very low-key and if possible, unknown. However, I also go to social events that are part of the church and there are many. These things give me a sense of belonging and can help reduce stress, depression and loneliness. I am currently active in a priesthood calling and or course I am a Home Teacher. All men who are 12 years or older are taught to recieve the priesthood and serve the Lord.

In whom should we have faith?

Jesus is the source of all faith. No matter what religion or non-religion a person is, Jesus is the source of their life and He will be with each of us always. He loves all of us and was sent by and authorized by Heavenly Father to be our Lord and to lead us back to the presence of Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
