Hi I'm Rachel

I am a wife and the mother of two wonderful children. I have a Colombian heritage and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and the mother of two sweet children. My family is the center of my universe. I try to enjoy every moment I can with them. I also love to teach and I love to be active. I am blessed to have a job that combines both of those. I teach group fitness classes. Some other things I love to do are wakeboard, snowboard, swim, dance, play tennis, music, play cello, shop and play games.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a home where the principles of the mormon church were taught. I saw the example of my family striving to live the gospel through faith and good works. I started to develop my own testimony as a youth. In high school I studied the scriptures on my own and in seminary. Through my studies of the scriptures I came to know Jesus Christ and how I can become more like Him. My testimony grew as I continued to study and learn. I know that I am an imperfect person who makes mistakes continually but that because of the atonement of Jesus Christ I can be forgiven of all my sins and one day return to live with Him and my Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I serve with the youth in my church. I work with girls ages 8-11 years old. We help teach these wonderful girls skills, talents, service, and principle of our church. I plan lessons to teach them twice a month but often times they are the ones teaching me.
